About us

A Day at the Medical Brigade

Intake: Patients go to intake first where pharmacy students get a basic medical history with the help of interpreters and take blood pressure, blood sugar, weight, and temperature.

Physician's Visit: Patients then go to visit the physician. Pharmacy students can have the opportunity to shadow the physician and help make medication recommendations and assess children's growth using growth charts.

Pharmacy: Next, all the prescriptions get filled by the pharmacy and patients receive a multivitamin and albendazole, an anti-parasitic medication. Then, pharmacy students counsel on the medications with the help of interpreters.
